Actually just came in from working on it. So on the Scosche 2.0 kit, the the amp wire will need to be connected to the amp power out from your HU. Just did not fully install. I have to paint the trim kit 1st, and will prob put some paint on it this weekend and then install 1st of next week.

So it works? That's good to hear. Glad you got it all sorted out. Does the SWC work? One more month until I start tearing into mine.

Didnt even try them. Was honestly just more worried about sound for now. I can live w/o SWC's if it doesn't. At least til I get it sorted out. Just taking it 1 process at a time.

So according a member in the other thread, the chimes now come out of the dash kit. Is this true and if it is, does the rear sensor warning come out of the dash kit also?

Thank you for confirming. This makes my life so much easier since I was going to remove the rear speakers permanently and didn't want to lose the rear sensor warning beeps.

Anyone running an andriod radio with the Scosche 2.0 kits? Wifes radio went out in the "Hoe", so she begged for mine. She likes it better than her old Pioneer, plus gave the argument that I always buy the better stuff for my car. I agreed, but you know, she won, for now. Buddy had couple of these things laying around, so figured I'd give it a try for a little while. Only issue was SWC's. Assuming I will prob need an extra module for that. Can anyone confirm that?

Also took the time to clean up the excess hanging wire from my SCT X4. Installed an HDMI flush mount in the empty slot on right side of steering wheel. I think it turned out pretty clean. Had some help from my main sidekick.

I can also add that, I'm glad Scosche has the wiring harness stuff completely figured out for us on these kits [for the most part]. The set-up in our Tahoe, was done the old fashioned was, and lets just say, I would rather $hit glad shards, than to do that one again. Even being able to pretty much follow the color coding from old install [which I didnt do]. Still took me about 3hr to de-clutter and solder leads instead of butt connectors. Man I hate those things.. Anyway rant over....

The kit is now 1/2 installed. Testing it the Kenwood units works fine. The Scosche kit not so much. The left screen works great but the demister and heated seat buttons do not seems to work. Still getting it in so that might change but I’m not hopeful.
But the SWC seem to work. Well the two inner controls don’t but the volume, source select and track up/down all do.

What have you guys done with the two USB ports for the Kenwood unit?

I was going to install them in the console where the original one is but it looks like this might be connected to the amp rather than the original HU.

And does anyone make a harness/adapter to connect the Kenwood digital aerial into the factory wiring?

And I did connect the Kenwood SWC wire to the Scosche SWC-KEY1 wire.
In post 1 the red is mentioned as an auxiliary 12vdc supply. I have it connected to the Kenwood wiring as the ignition on wire and all seem well.

If you dont have the HUD on yours, you could always do like I just did with my SCT in the above post. Installed the flush mount adapter, that I grabbed off Amazon. Keeps wires nice and simple. No hanging messes anywhere, as its all routed under the dash panel, and from right there, its just mere inches from stereo compartment. 1st picture shows it best. I was going to run an USB as well from the Scosche dash kit for updates, but since it requires unit to be disconnected, then I would have to pull the trim anyway.

Thanks for the tip. I have since discovered the factory connection to the USB in the console is a mini B so I might just get a new cable to go from the HU to the existing plug. I think PAC actually ship the correct items. Scosche are obviously pretty lax with their kit.
