YSI sound normal?

So i installed the YSI and it sounds like a rattle can sort of when at 1500rpms-2k rpms with a tiny bit of chirping not really that loud. The noise gets more faint at higher RPMs, but can barely hear it still. Is this normal? I have heard prochargers and they are noisy but not like this. If this is normal what kind of sound would i hear if it is going bad?

It is a brand new unit never used. The shop checked the oil lines, made sure everything was tight, everything looked good. It has a tial bov and a 2.95 pulley.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah hard to tell if its making any noise if any. Mine only does a little at idle. 1500-2k rpm range is the worst.

Thats a pretty good description. I can't upload my video, but my blower made some noise under the hood also, but they said its perfectly normal. You've got a good quality blower, just make sure its lubricated.

A lot of the Prochargers are helical gears ? Likewise smaller Vortech units

YSi is straight cut, it will be noisier, especially if engine running is not very smooth ( ie with a choppy idle etc )

Racesloths is pretty quiet and smooth actually, very normal.

A noisier Procharger....old poor quality video, but this is what made me go for an LS and YSi many years ago ( that's an LT though )
