i went to it a couple times, but it's overpriced. easier to watch at home. years ago the tent was about a quarter of the size it is now. when they put it on tv it took really took off big time

oh yea, you live in AZ, that must have been awesome being there, I would love to go and the AZ Barrett Jackson is always the best.

waaay back in 1997 my brother , mom and i went to los angeles for the weekend. when we came back my dad said "i saw that there was this car show , so i went over and there were all these old cars..."
back then no one out of arizona had heard of it. about 10 years ago or so when it went on tv it turned crazy with the prices. now there's a bunch more auctions out here the same week. i think now the prices are so high a lot of the smarter buyers stay away from Barrett Jackson. years ago the really old cars were bigger, then it turned almost completely muscle cars.
one of the guys on the broadcast, Rick Debruhl was a reporter out here for years. they started using him on the broadcast and now he does nothing but motorsports.
