What is everyone using in their manual transmission besides the sock fluid? I used Royal Purple in my 2010, just checking my options.

Sorry, been real busy lately. Lots of travel and getting a 30x40 shop built. Haven't found anybody in SV I would highly recommend. Avoid Competition Tire. After I installed lowering springs, Lawley Chevy farmed my alignment out to them since their rack wouldn't accommodate my car. They scraped my front GFX and the car chased cracks worse than stock.

Lawley Chevy now has a relatively new alignment rack and the car drives great on street and track (I run a square setup on the track with Nitto NT01s and stock wheels on the street). Took them forever to align my car, but it was a Saturday and I'm pretty sure the best and brightest weren't there that day. I used the Pfadt performance street specs. Can't afford to get it aligned before and after each track day.

Some of the Phoenix guys at the track said they worked lifetime alignment with some shops where they only charge a pittance for each adjustment, but haven't found anything locally.

My alignment specs are here: http://www.pfadtracing.com/blog/wp-c...-9.12.2011.pdf

I am lowered and running Pfadt sways so your performance may vary. Plus, I am still a newb to the HPDE3 class so I'm still learning and not real fast.

FWIW - I am going with Royal Purple for my next change. Haven't had any issues with the stock stuff. Just issues with brake fluid getting too hot. Even with Castrol SRF, it needs changed after every track weekend. Had issues with stock brakes and I'm sure race pads/rotors just magnified it. Brake ducts are in the plan soon...

Good to know, I guess I will go with Royal Purple again for my Tranny, and Differential.

The Tremec TR6060 seems to like Redline D4 ATF. All of the Corvette, Viper, Challenger, CTS-V, and GT500 forums praise it.

I changed my Oil, Transmission, and differential fluids today. Lots of fluids, went well. I went with Mobile 1 for the oil, and Royal Purple for the Trans and Differential. It went well, took about two hours, I had to get a second bottle of Royal Purple 75w90 Gear-max. Filled both until the fluid leaked out. I have 15,000 miles on my Camaro now, there was plenty of metal/gunk on the plugs of my differential. I had great luck with my 2010 with this setup, we will see how this goes.

And speaking of...anyone planning to attend any shows this weekend?

"Other half" is pushing for Lil' Anthony's for Saturday night (more for socializing than anything) - still debating on Tombstone run/show and the Rincon Farmers Market Show. Either way, I still could make the Anthony's meet even with the Tombstone show...given the 610HP has no DPS contact on the way back.
