Is this a situation that happens to someone making their car into something it isn't?

I believe he is referring to ZL1 front end conversions. The top lines are wider than the lines of the stock hood-the center part. I just did my conversion and to me, it's barely noticeable. I even have the black stripes on my Victory Red. I might get a ZL1 hood in the future so I did not want to mess with the bumper lines.

Ahhh...thank you. That makes sense-ish now.

my bad, i should have worded it better.

Jameslk350 so you left the lines as is? Any regrets?

Iam considering doing the same ZL1 front end conversion now and later upgrade to an oem hood later. Can you post pics from the front of your car.

thanks,

We all know you hold high regards for us for cloning our cars using GM Parts why even bother to respond do us a favor move on.

To the OP you cannot tell unless you are really looking the lines will be off approx. ½” if I recall correctly. The only reason NOT to have the bumper lines moved is if you plan to add the ZL1 hood.

Hey, Mr. High Wing,

Actually it happens to people that make their non ZL1 car have a ZL1 fascia. It is what it is.

Not sure how that is something it isn't ?

You're welcome, SoCal Swagger. Yes-I left the lines as is. No regets. I didn't want to move the lines, possibly get a ZL1 hood down the road, and then have the lines moved back. You're either going to get compliments or comments like this:

A Camaro newb won't notice it and a Camaro 'expert' probably will not go up to you and say, "Hey man, what's up with those lines?!"
