The motor with some bad rings, etc. comes with the car. Nothing major broken. SLP TVS2300 is an easy $3k complete with SLP coil covers and extra pulley. Had a pm on it. And yes, a modified car is only worth more to someone who likes the way it has been setup.

Thanks! I sure hope you will be able to get yours going again... it’s in such great physical shape — minus the engine... ;o)

I'm not a whizz-bang on engines. This was basically a result of melted cats? Were they stock? Should one consider hi-flows with a SC? I guess I'm in the camp to rebuild and keep it. Even if you don't go forged.

I would say if you can get $10K, making your problem someone elses is going to cost you big time. This is just my opinion not an offer. Good Luck.

Nice Camaro OP. Sucks this happened. If it were me I would upgrade the motor and keep it. The only way I would sell it is putting it back to stock.

This is exactly why you have to go with hi-flow cats or no cats when you have forced induction.

With as nice as the car is, and all the work you've already done to it, I'd rebuild the motor.

Have you disassembled the engine yet to determine the actual cause of the lower compression in those cylinders?
It just might turn out to be an easier fix than you might think?
Then judge what you'd do from then on.
Perhaps get a new short block and re-build with your parts if it turns out you have bad pistons/rings/bearings.
Perhaps the damage is in the heads/valve train.
