Family. . .
(Not sure where to put this post, so just put it in off-topic, if that's ok.)
My family, or more to the point, a certain member of my family (my youngest sister) is driving me nuts in regard to the Camaro. I've thought about other car options, but I keep coming back to the Camaro. However, she thinks all that matters is her opinion when it comes to me getting a car, namely this one. *She* doesn't think I'll like having a sports car, and that if I get a Camaro, I'll end up hating it. She neglects to remember I've driven the same car since I got out of college, and that she's the one that blew the engine in her Mustang. I don't know if it's a case of jealousy in the making, or just wanting to be able to say "I told you so." |

She doesn't think you will like having a sports car, who wouldn't like to have a sports car. You should go with your gut instinct here and get the camaro, it looks awesome, its a camaro, its fast, its a camaro, good fuel eco., did i metion that its a camaro? You won't be disapointed with the camaro, what you will be able to rub in her face is the fact that your car still runs and hers doesn't.

i'm with c_c: what man don't want a sports car? unless your little sister is gonna be driving it more than you, i'd say don't let her decide which car you get. not that i'm saying you should get the camaro *coughgetitcough* you should look at what you will be using your new vehicle for. if the camaro fits all your needs, that sounds like a solid choice to me.

my parents think I'm crazy because over the last two years I've had so many problems with my Cavalol (what can you expect from a $2000, 14 yo car...) but I still wanna get another american car.
but tbh, if it wasn't for the camaro, I prolly wouldn't buy another one. There's just no other car from the not-so-big-three (except the mustang maybe) that I like. Well I like the G8 but I'm not buying another automatic |

or you could just continue to let your sister run your life
Just joking....after you've thought about your situation and how your vehicle is used to support your life's activities, make your decision and go for it. The G8 is a great car and while it's an automatic it is still fun to drive. If you don't need 4 doors, the camaro could be an excellent choice. Though it if you ever need to haul something large, and you don't own or have access to a truck/suv, you might be limited. And please, don't be one of those idiots that I see all of the time who buy some "big-box item" and try to stuff it into your car outside of BestBuy or the lumberyard. Best of luck....and tell your sister to mind her own business (unless she's paying for your car) then be nice to her! Regardless, please buy American (and particularly GM) if at all possible and show your support for American manufacturering!! |

Needs a Camaro
|
I have to agree with what most everyone on here has said...If it fits your lifestyle, than get the camaro, but if you need something bigger, than by all means get something bigger... and reference this thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10383 for american vs foreign

No, she's not paying for MY car.
And she's trying to steer me toward an Audi A3 or Volvo C30. I know the decision is in my hands, and I want a Camaro. If she doesn't like it, when we go on road trips, she can walk. |
