dont get me wrong it is a "cool" feature... but to alot of people who drive manuals it's more like "i got a manual for a reason, dont mess with my shifting, launching, downshifting." thats what automatics are for.. if you need computer help with your manual tranny... should you really be driving one? i guess it's just that purist thing in me, just my opinion of course, just like how i make fun of my cousing for driving automatic.

Well luckily it's an option so you can have that control you like. What I'm not to big on is the skip shift which you have no control over other than just giving it more throttle to override

What about the no-lift shift that was mentioned earlier? Are SS manual models getting that? Or not?

everything off is a separate mode. 'competitive mode' is TC off and a more lenient stabilitrac setting

as also mentioned earlier, it ain't needed on these cars. no-lift shift is to keep the turbo spooled up while shifting, and since we don't have turbos, we don't need it

It is a cool feature - one more toy to play with, and to explain to all the wannabees. I didnt choose the maunal tranny just to do controlled launches - the manual is still a man's game.

Probably not end user through the DIC, but a laptop and some computer reprograming might just adjust the RPM quite nicely.

I do agree good stick shift drivers do not need this, however, if you can dial in the best RPM it will hold it at, there might be a case for even the pros to use it.

the video didn't really specify if it is only unique to the V8 or not

IMO i go by the fact that you can turn off stabilitrak no matter the engine right ?

but if it is only on the V8 i guess the only difference is that in the V8 when you double tap traction button on the V8 you go into competitive mode?

Look at 00:40 seconds.

Yes, engine does not matter.
