dont get me wrong it is a "cool" feature... but to alot of people who drive manuals it's more like "i got a manual for a reason, dont mess with my shifting, launching, downshifting." thats what automatics are for.. if you need computer help with your manual tranny... should you really be driving one? i guess it's just that purist thing in me, just my opinion of course, just like how i make fun of my cousing for driving automatic.

What about the no-lift shift that was mentioned earlier? Are SS manual models getting that? Or not?

as also mentioned earlier, it ain't needed on these cars. no-lift shift is to keep the turbo spooled up while shifting, and since we don't have turbos, we don't need it

It is a cool feature - one more toy to play with, and to explain to all the wannabees. I didnt choose the maunal tranny just to do controlled launches - the manual is still a man's game.

Probably not end user through the DIC, but a laptop and some computer reprograming might just adjust the RPM quite nicely. I do agree good stick shift drivers do not need this, however, if you can dial in the best RPM it will hold it at, there might be a case for even the pros to use it. |

IMO i go by the fact that you can turn off stabilitrak no matter the engine right ? but if it is only on the V8 i guess the only difference is that in the V8 when you double tap traction button on the V8 you go into competitive mode?
