All I see in this thread title in light of the post is "You can get a sliced resale value and voided warranty... and potential leak problems."

You can also just press a button and a big hole opens up. I think runroof is better anyway in terms of crash protection, structural rigidity vs what a vert will provide. Not to mention roll overs.

ha, funny that you brought this up today... I was just driving back from the airport, and saw a Fusion convertible... it was incredibly ridiculous and unnecessary. Even more-so with the little tiny tires it had on it... they were either 16s or 17s I'd guess... just looked so lame, haha...

I almost started a thread like this the other day. I was watching Street Customs on TLC or Discovery. They did a vert Challenger for Josh ‘Chop’ Towbin. They used the guys from Coach Builders and they really looked like they knew what they were doing. The included supports to make sure the structural integrity of the car was not comprimised. I am not saying I would do this to my brand new Camaro, but just saying they looked like they were on the ball.

I'd rather spend my money on a Hennessy Camaro ... and I don't even want one of those

I watched it too ... you don't know if structural integrity has been compromised until it actually crashes. Automakers do testing. Custom shops add steel. Slight difference.

I agree 1000%. I was only making the point that they did add some reinforcements.

i'd be sketchy on Frankenstein-ing a car to make it a convertible. who knows maybe they'd do a awesome job, but i'd be a little scared

I'd be real curious how it would look with the top up.
Some of these aftermarket convertible jobs can look ok with the top down, but up it ruins the lines of the car ,especially the Camaro. Most of these jobs look like you grafted the covertible top of another car on to it.
I'll pass on this thing - big time.
