Need help! Turboed ss oil in coolant! Please help!
Ok so I have a 2010 camaro with a turbonetics 50 state kit. Car ran great but the other day I noticed a small radiator leak coming from one of the hoses that had a small slit in it. No big deal easy fix. So I go about fixing it and open up the rad cap and see peanut butter in my coolant and a lot of it. Obviously oil. So my question is could the turbo be mixing the two because it has oil and coolant feed or head gasket? Car never over heated ran at 190 all the time.
Please help!!! |

Do you get any white smoke coming from the exhaust? Could be seals going bad IF you really don't think it's the head gasket.

No white smoke at all. What seals are you talking about? I'm praying it's not the head gasket!

Seals in the turbo housing. White smoke would've been a good pointer towards a turbo that was failing. Bad seals in the housing could've then been used as a reason why oil is in the coolant. However, since no white smoke, the turbo is probably okay. Sounds more like a head gasket man.
Then again I know nothing about cars, let alone one with a turbo. Sorry m8 |

Um, do NOT run the engine untill the source of the leak is found and repaired. You have a blown head gasket or an f'd up cylinder. If you are LUCKY, it's the intake gasket.

Oh I'm sorry, I thought it was coolant in the oil. Check for it. ..

Overheating is not necessarily a symptom of a bad head gasket. However, if oil is getting in your coolant, coolant could be getting in your oil and corroding your engine. It could possibly even cause your engine to sieze if not addressed. Your turbo housing is probably okay.
