Whats a good exhaust system?

Im thinking about getting a new exhaust system for my 4th gen, but i dont want to spend $ on something that isnt better than what i already have. I just want an exhaust system that makes the car sound meaner and very LOUD! Who's a good choice?

LS1sounds.com is a great place to start. My set-up is going to be Pacesetters (which I have already) TSP catted Y-pipe and Magnaflow CB.

Yeah the SLP Loudmouths will be among the loudest probably but that's such a personal preference. Start by listening to the sound clips post #2 suggested.

You take the muffler(s) off and replace it with pipe. It is cheap, sounds good and improves performance including gas mileage. Cops will not bother you because the cat(s) is like a small muffler. If this does not give you the sound you like, replace the cheap hunk of pipe with something too expensive and see how happy that makes you. Believe me...... Worth trying just a pipe!

Nope, cheapest way and probably loudest while still keeping the cats(which you didnt say you had to keep or not) is to just put a dump before the rearend and run it uncapped.

Yeah, I don't like the SLP's just making a suggestion as it is a loud system.
(If it were me, I'd do either, KOOKS with a Corsa cat back or Stainless Works full exhaust system.)

That more depends on the motor in front of the exhaust.I have a Magnaflow on my 83 and there is no way in hell anyone would call it not aggressive.

GMMG well worth the $$$ Not as loud as a SLP LM but it' has that classic muscle car sound. I have it on my 01 Z/28 I love it best exhaust system for the 4th Gen IMHO.

Id love to get rid of my loudmouth and get the GMMG, but they're never in stock. I cant just hand over 800 bucks and not know when I'm gonna get my merch! But it is the best sounding to me!
