Getting new engine, advice on upgrading my AGP TT kit as well

I hydrolocked my engine in torrential downpour and flooding. So, engine is shot and getting replaced. I've been very happy with my base AGP kit tuned to 706 hp for a couple years, but turbos look to be shot too. Since the engine and turbos are getting replaced, is this the time to upgrade? If so, what would you do?

Use: I NEVER race from a dig. I just like highway roll-ons. This is my daily, and I just like to feel like I own the highways. My stock clutch and rear have been rock solid driving it like this. Would that change if I got bigger turbos and upped hp nearer 1k?

Current mods: Base AGP kit and turbos. AGP flex fuel system and 130lb injectors. 3" exhaust. Stock clutch and rear-end.

I know I'd feel better with beefier engine internals (rods and crank?). What else would be priority given my goals (1k ish hp) and driving habits (no launching, romping from a dig)? Thanks!

Definitely gonna need a better clutch. Mine started slipping at 750 rwhp; I would downshift let's say 6th to 5th and floor it the clutch would go straight to the floor. Get in the 900's on stock clutch and say good bye. Might as well change it while the engine is out and save on labor time.

Are you sticking with stock cubes or going stroker?

May want to do basic suspension upgrades to control wheel hop just in case you decide to put sticky tires on there while "rolling on the highway". If you not launching hard your stock axles may survive a while, but not sure about the stock LSD, hence why I went with a Eaton Trutrac.

Stroker for sure. Don't let anyone talk you out of it.
Clutch will need to be a twin disc now.

Are you going to wait and have your block built?

Ether 57/57 turbos or 62/62 depending on some decisions you make on directions you go.

Thanks, both of you. I was thinking stock cubes as I like the Dr.Jeckyll/Mr.Hyde feel of the tame stock engine at lower RPM. Plus, I figured thickness and strength would be more important than extra cubes. No?

Thickness would not be affect by going stroker. As long as you don't get too greedy with you stroke length you will be fine.

As AGP said, go with a 416/417 if you build your LS3 block or a 408 if you decide to go let's say a GM iron block stroker.

You will appreciate the added torque and drive-ability will not be an issue and should fill close to stock when not in boost if you don't go crazy on your cam. I'd have a TT specific cam spec'd and tell them your preferences and you can keep you Dr.Jeckyll/Mr.Hyde feel down low. Heck more cubes would give more low end torque before boost kicks in.
