I had a good day at Gwatney Chevrolet yesterday getting the car tuned. Ryan spent a lot of time on it and got me a real solid tune. They are awesome guys up there all of them. He street tuned the car first, we drove around for hours making pulls and changing the tune. He tuned the whole car like that it was pretty impressive. Then when he was done he put it on the dyno to see what she made. That's when I was shocked. 604whp and 567wtq! That's SAE corrected, standard correction showed 637/595. Did one last pull with the converter locked and it made 660 std correction. So she definitely makes some power!

I also hooked up with Derrick(GretchenGotGrowl) last night and he took me to dinner. It was nice meeting him after all these years on the forum. He's a cool guy and I loved his new Z06. Here's a pic of my car next to the Gretchen car and some pics of the shop at GPI, it was a true hot rod shop for sure.

How livable/drivable is it at that boost level? Is this to see what its limits are or do u think u can achieve this each time u go to the track? Any pulls with converter locking? IF not, why??

After all the expense and work, hopefully you can drop a tenth

It's very driveable, he did an awesome street tune on it. But it's a lot of power for the street. Even on 305 drag radials it can get scary fast. The nice thing is I can have 2 settings with my boost controller. Off is wastegates only 10psi, and I can make setting A maybe 14 psi and setting B maxed out at 18-19psi. I imagine the engine will live longer at lower boost levels. But I'll definitely be set on max at the track.

Ryan's the man, he has all the knock sensors working like factory and they are picking up zero KR with 18lbs of boost and 91octane pump gas at over 600 to the wheels. And this is with only 18 degrees of timing. Could probably make even more power but this is right at the limit of the trans anyway so why push it. The 604hp was unlocked, he did a hero pull at the end when Aaron got there which was like 660 with std correction prob like 625 sae. But I didn't get that paper so I'll just say 604.

And I hope this takes over a second off my 1/4 mile time. I have a good feeling about it. As long as she holds together lol
