Patriot and Crystal Red Tintcoat

So, I ordered Adam's Patriot wax when it came out and I got #19 of 250. Well, finally used it on my wife's Camaro.

So the normal wash first, then started in on the Patriot. (By the way, yes, it is night, so I'm in my garage.) It goes on really easy.

Ok, so I did a really crappy job of taking pictures throughout, so this is after removing.

I still love the container...

So, wait till morning and snap some pictures in daylight before heading to work.

Thanks for looking.

I should have mentioned that yes, those are snow tires on right now. I live outside Cleveland and our weather, well, sucks. Can't wait to get the P Zeros on.

Now, to compare it to Americana. I'll start by saying that I do love Americana.
  • Patriot makes it really easy to put down a nice thin coat, I think this tub will last forever, even maintaining three cars.
  • It smells like heaven lit a vanilla candle.
  • I feel it gives a bit of a deeper look and maybe a little more reflection. (but I don't know how it will look on lighter colors, I have the red, a black and a dark blue car)
  • The container itself is an absolute work of art.
  • Durability: well, I need time.

So, I can't give a final verdict yet as I need to wait to check the durability, but so far...

Pros:
Price may seem a little steep, but we are protecting 30 - 40 - 50 thousand dollar cars.
A portion of the sale goes a fantastic cause.
It does give a very nice look.

Cons:
You find yourself detailing the container.

Looks fantastic, and your thoughts are pretty spot-on compared to what we have been hearing...even the "cons."

Metal Polish #2 on the container lid will blow your mind!

Did you do a full detail or just wash and wax.

It was just a wash and wax. We've only had the car about 7 weeks.

WOW!So you have not clayed or polished at all, you've got a really clean car there,I just got my Camaro 2wks ago and it had all the plastic on it so I'm going to clay and polish before waxing just to be on the safe side.Did you apply the wax to the whole car and then let it haze then buff and what did you use to put the wax on?Bigon your Camaro
