On my first Camaro (2010 Camaro SS), I was awestruck by the car but did see a few things that could be improved from the factory.

1) Wider wheels and tires
2) A more advanced infotainment unit
3) Steering wheel better materials (chrome peels)
4) Dual exhaust tips

Ironically, all of these blocks were checked off by GM for MY14 when I was shopping a 1LE.

I never liked the grille, not nearly enough detail to it. On the SS, the upper and lower grilles look nothing alike. It always seemed like a bad, unmatched replacement was done by a low budget repair shop. I don't like the Heritage grille at all either. Also, I never liked the chopped top look of the roof height. It still looks out of proportion to the rest of the car to me.

Oh yea, my biggest gripe, why would they put a single piston brakes (V6) on these heavy cars?! They are a tad weak to me. every camaro I had (5thgen - X2, 1 6gen) I installed brembos.

The only time I notice the shark fin is when I'm washing or waxing my car.

GM sorta did figure it out. It's called the 6th generation.

I agree that the stock grille isn’t the greatest. I thought about the Heritage grille but it doesn’t match the lower grille either. Ended up going with the ZL1/Hot Wheels grille which looks much better.

The chopped top look is the best part of these cars. The chopped top look gives it a sinister "hunkered down" look started by the widely successful Chrysler 300 back in 2005. Bubble tops belong on Mustangs, not Camaros.

I love my car but I do have a few beefs.

The 1LS comes with no, none, nada, ZERO bells and whistles. No home link, no heated seats, no port for auxilary music, no blue tooth, nothing. That stuff is standard on practically everything. My 2003 Monte Carlo had all that.

The needles on the tack and speedo are so wide they hide the gauges.

Where the CEL is the speedo needle hides it

The DIC could have some useful displays other than as a speedo

granted it is a baseline model, but come on for $25+K original price you ought to get SOMETHING besides a cool car.

The RS package gave my LT the SS spoiler, but would agree it needs to be taller. I'll be swapping it out with a Z28 spoiler at some point.

After doing extensive research (serious, extensive) on the LFX V6 engine, it's a really great and powerful engine, however you can't find but a few things for it. Can't get an intake for it, no chrome valve covers, headers. You can add a turbo/supercharger but that's about it without going internal.

A turn off was the overall weight as it felt like I was hauling a 24' flatbed gooseneck with two skid loaders. Cars are bricks, but I love my SS. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

Passengers side mirror is bigger than the drivers side mirror.

Ditto. I have no issues with the fin. Hell, it has gills, it’s gotta have a fin!

The speedometer needle on my 2010 is so fat it's more than 5mph wide on the dial. So I have to look at the digital speed, which is lame.
