What kind of number should I expect with this combo?
I will be ording my new Camaro next wk 2SS L99.
I will be modding it right off the jump. I wanted an aggressive cam for my SS (Matt tune times stage III VVT Cam). I have a head porter already and will be getting Kooks headers, Pro Torqe 3600 stall TC, New era, CAI, and would like my intake manifold ported. I 'm hoping to get Matt at his shop to tune it as I have heard he's one of the best around the mid atlantic area. I will have the front and rear bogart 17" Wheels with a 325/45/17 DR and front runners. Also what valve train componets do i need my head guy to install so it will match this stage III cam? Hollow valve, spring rates, lifters, etc... What do u expect this combo to put down at the track? I have a Charger that has the fastest 5.7 based stroker in the country (11.3 N/A) and heard that these camaros with heads and cam could possible beat my stroked charger... which would be really cool. One step at a time my friend.. I want to see what these simple mods will do 1st.... then I'll get a turbo or S/C... then stroker..
At least thats what I have planned...lol I always seem to do more right off the bat... You guys just dont know how good u have it with all the tuning support and after market parts avail to u vs a Mopar... |

It will be interesting to see.
Here's the 1/4 mile times (NA) so far with the 2010 Camaro. I'm sure these times will improve as guys improve their setups and take advantage of the winter air. 1. Gib - 11.22 @ 125.31 mph, (427 ci, Heads/Cam, LT, Exhaust, CAI, Converter, Tune, (L99, A6) 2. OrangeChevy - 11.37 @ 121.55 mph (Cam, LT, Exhaust, CAI, Tune, Skinny's, DR's), (LS3, M6) 3. MattTuneTime - 11.62 @ 121.62 mph, (Heads/Cam, LT, CAI, Tune, 17'' DR's), (L99, A6) 4. Mike@newera - 11.88 @ 115.13 mph, (Cam, LT, Ported TB, Converter, Tune, DR's, (L99, A6) 5. FreemaSSon - 11.92 @ 116.18 mph, (Heads/Cam, LT, Exhaust, CAI, Tune, 18'' ET Streets) 6. Nuptualnemesis - 11.94 @ 119.12 mph (Cam, LT, CAI, T Arm, Ported TB & Intake, Tune, DR's), (LS3, M6) 7. You should be in the mid to high 11's with that combo probably 11.4 with the lighter Bogart's you mentioned. As for the ported intake not everyone does them. Give Steve or Kirk at Vector a call as they have them on sale right now for $200. A solid 10rwhp for $200. I ordered one Friday so tell them I sent you there way. BTW, I can get you a Manley stroker rotating assembly like the one I just got. That is Manley pistons, rods and crank plus Total Seal steel top ring/Napier second. Much better than the Eagle stuff.

Shoot me the price on it... also I talked to Stu last night and he wants to start building strokers for these SS camaros..lol
He told me to tell u to call him. As far as the combo mention above whay bo u think the stage III might be to aggressive? Do I just send The intake porter my intake or they send me one and they charge a core fee until the get mine back? What is DOD delete kit? |

As far as the intake goes they send you the ported one then you send back your stock one. They charge you a core but refund it when they receive yours. The core charge is $300 but again you will get that back.
BTW, I trying calling STU but it goes to his voice mail and it says it is full.

1. Lifters - LS7, Cadillac CTS-V or any good aftermarket ones. 2. Valley Cover - usually an LS2 style. 3. Lifter trays/buckets - GM. Needed because the AFM lifters are different. 4. Head bolts/studs - GM or aftermarket 5. Head gaskets - GM or Cometic You may also consider the following: 6. Pushrods - hardened 7. Valvesprings - Beehive, dual or any good aftermarket. Don't go to heavy on the spring pressure.
