I tried using the launch control and did not like it. Almost thought I had damaged the rear cause it engaged so hard. Drag racing a stick is all about driver input. It takes lots of practice to understand the dynamics of properly launching the car. When you as a driver make progress, it is very rewarding. Your 60 fts will not lie. To make this process somewhat automatic is defeating the purpose of having a MANUAL. I tried using it several times to give it a fair shake and as driver, I improved none. Understanding and feeling what the car is doing is what improves and teaches you how to launch, not the computer. You would be better off with an automatic in that case. I feel way more comfortable being in complete control of my launch RPM's because I know what to expect when leaving. Its a good feature for manufacturers to brag about and it may work well for others. Not so much for myself. IMHO. However you do it.......have fun and enjoy!!
