Getting Rid of the Center Console? Test Fit
Obviously not for everyone.
I did this for 3 reason - 1. unobstructed shifting. 2. Weight reduction. 3. Gutting car for racing. My first impression was in made the area feel a lot bigger and unrestricted. Like I said it’s not for everyone and this car is for the track both drag and circuit racing. BTW this mode is very easy to put back to normal.

Sweet! You can actually get to the usb ports while driving without breaking your arm in two places to get to it!

Curious about the weight of that thing compared to the normal console... Pretty sure you didn't remove that much weight there. If you eat a big burger before a drag race you might end up with the exact same weight that you started with!

Do you even need a passenger seat? If just your weekend/drag car and so concerned about such little weight, that would be a nice chunk to get rid of along with the back seats, of course.
As far as the center console goes... Oof. But if it works for you, that's all that matters! haha |

Interesting indeed. It would obviously be nicer if the carpet matched the factory, but the install is probably better than I could do lol.

I am actually looking into that, was not happy with the match. Trying to find the exact match. Like I said it’s my first test fit and can throw console back on in 15 mins. Version 2 coming up at a later date.
