Looking to add HIDs to my LS, help please - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

As the title of the thread says I'm looking to add HIDs to my LS. If anyone could offer some advice as to how exactly I would go about doing this or if someone has done it and would like to share how it's done I would greatly appreciate it!

Would prefer not to buy a whole new set of headlights considering the RS headlights will cost me over $1000. I'm just curious as to whether or not I can just install HID bulbs or something like that

If you want the Halo look, you need to replace the fixtures.

Honestly for the moment I just want HID bulbs. Don't need the Halos right now because I can't really afford the conversion.

But you would need an HID ballast as well.

From what I understand, if you contact TRS they are very good at telling you exactly what you need to do the conversion.

There are a few forum threads around here on this topic as well, if you do some searching.

EDIT: Here's one.

You can get some led headlight bulbs. Plug and play. Google search flash tech

Well possibly yeah, I mean I could pick up some used RS headlights which might not be such a bad idea, but then I know I'm gonna want some RS halos from NightOwl and those are like $400 on top of the headlights and the harness. I know it would get pricey if I went that way!
