New Nissan Z Car!
This successor to the Nissan 370Z is looking pretty good from a styling standpoint and will be losing some weight too so should perform decently too.

Pretty good looking. If the specs on size and weight are accurate it will be close in size to the FRS/BRZ, except with a whole lot more power.

Blue Maro...you've got to stop posting speculation as if its fact. At least mention something about the photos not being the real deal.
It clearly states in that article that the image is just an artist speculation. I love reading about new cars as much as the next guy, but its getting a bit old.

I always loved the 240z and I fell in love with my z33 but I really hope it looks similar to the artist imagery shown. Either way, 4 cylinder turbo......Im still trading mine in for the camaro

That's a shame they want to go backwards to a 4 cylinder. Why are they going backwards with the Z when they're doing the exact opposite with the GT-R?? |

Nissan should go for an I6 engine a la 240z. Porsche has been quite successful offering small displacement I6 engines with over 300 hp for quite some time now. I think the biggest reason that they won't do this is because the 370z proved to be a very niche market. Nissan priced themselves out of the market place with their z for a few years. This is not entirely Nissan's fault given the massive fluctuation of the dollar/yen ratio since inception in 2009. Both the 370z and GT-R are built in Japan and are more sensitive to changes in economic realities between the two countries (US and Japan) over the other higher volume vehicles built in TN, for example. In response, a bit late in my opinion, Nissan has recently dropped the price on many models. Given the low number of sales, they probably lost money on the Z34 platform. The R&D costs to get them the engine they need are probably too great to justify for their low volume sports car. |

What's with all these over-stylized designs? I'm thinking in time people will come to their senses and car designs will revert to simpler basic shapes.
It was cool when supercars did them tastefully, but it's too much when these el-cheapo cars are all doing them and going crazy with lines and edges going everywhere.
