The batteries are being produced in the US. That’s part of the IRA bill. In order for an EV to qualify for the $7,500 incentive the batteries have to be built in North America. That’s why LG partnered with GM on the two Ultium plants in Ohio and Tennessee and why Samsung is partnering with GM to build batteries at a plant somewhere in the US. All of those plants are adding g-d jobs.
