Feel around the back, and sort of do one side at a time, the middle vertical tabs will slide out without you unhooking them, but the horizontal ones need to be pulled down a bit, work it back and forth.

Trust me, you have to pull much harder than you think you would, just if you hear cracking, stop, but its really in there

I did mine too

I removed my rear though... I was too afraid to do the whole tape up your car in plastic thing...

here are the pics. I left it a little unglossy to keep a matte finish to match the stripes and ad some pop to it. I also did the same to my SS emblems and they were a PAIN... I ended up liking the look without them and left them off though... so all that for nothing with the emblems...

Great Job! They look great, I actually thought I picked up a can of matte clear, and when I got home, it was gloss , so I just used it. I still used flat base coat, so its not as glossy as it could be.

Ur car is awesome!

This looks great! i plan on doing black center/red outside for my all black car. Where did you get the paint? Is this just OEM touch up?

Lowes, OEM touchup is expensive. You can get any black, it will match. Also, since you arent matching another red, any straight red will be almost identical to VR, and any maroon will be really close to RJT or CRT if you went that route.

You do not need to get expensive touch up paint. Just get primer, base, and clear of the same brand and base (i.e get all acrylic rust o leum).

You can also get paint from autozone.

I had a feeling I'd end up doing that...this seems a bit excessive if I want to save money over buying the parts pre-painted...

http://www.automotivetouchup.com/spray_paint.asp

I also plan on painting my door/dash panels and some others VR so maybe a good RED would be just fine vs. paying $20 per can of VR LOL

I have an IBM with white stripes down the middle. What colors should I do my bowties? Blue outside/White inside or the other way around?

Either would look good since neither color is black, but here is why I did mine the way I did.

The front grille is black, so I didnt want to paint the outside black or it would just get lost, so I did contrasting colors, Black Grille/Red outer/Black inner.

The rear is the opposite, Red Panel/Black Outer/Red inner.

Since IBM is dark, I would recommend possibly doing White outer and blue inner on the front and back. I also think that the bright white would look better as an outside color. So White outer/IBM inner is my vote.
