Indeed. :( I'm sad to see the final one get removed. I wonder what the CSC plans on doing with it.
At least now you westerners can see what SSMEs looked like. You better go see Endeavour.

I will, I know the boys would LOVE to see it. I have been wanting to go back to Cali for a while cuz it's so nice there, and so has Danny. One of these days, maybe next year when he comes back on leave or something. |

Space Shuttle Endeavour is now in the correct configuration to be transported to the California Science Center on October 13th.

Honestly, if you're planning on making the trip to see Endeavour only once, then I HIGHLY recommend waiting 4-5 years before going. The California Science Center has Space Shuttle Endeavour sitting on the transporter for the next 4-5 years while they finish it's permanent home. If everything goes according to plan, it's permanent display will be mind-blowing. The California Science Center plans on hoisting Endeavour to a vertical position and mating it to two replica SRBs and an ET. This will be the only place where you will be able to see what it look liked when a Space Shuttle was positioned for launch. Plus, I plan on making it down there to see the temporary display and permanent display, and meeting you in person would have to be a must if I made it over to that side of the country.

Always a good day when your professor tries to use space-related examples and you can correct her.

Hey Jordy,
So, how is about Austin's Pre-K class is taking a field trip tomorrow to the Space Museum here in town. He will be excited. I haven't even been to it, and lived here for 12 yrs. |
