Hennessey upgrade
I live near the Hennessey shop and am thinking about one of the Hennessey upgrade packages. Does anyone have any experience with these guys?

Well not exactly. I called them, talked to Mike? maybe, emailed, got info. They were helpful and informative. Just give them a call they'll be happy to talk to you.

Hennessy does a great job on the ZL1 from reading all the reviews in this forum, but there are also a number of less expensive and well-regarded tuners in TX if you want to shop around.

I talked to them, really high on cost. Went with G-Force in Pearland and got a heck of a deal. Car makes 705rwhp and 694trq with a auto. Thats 840-850 flywheel power I would think. Car drives like stock and is amazing. G-Force has done a ton of Caddies and made great power so I went with them, no regrets..Talk to Mikey, he is great to work with..

They are higher than anyone else I've checked into. There are plenty of good shops between Texas and Florida that have modded ZL1's with no issues for half the price.

Always kind of surprises me how when people ask about one company, and another swoops in.
510 is right, they did make 100rwhp and voided our customers factory, and Hennessey warranty, as well as blackballed the VIN as a serial-numbered Hennessey vehicle all in one swift upgrade, which we didn't know about until we saw the post, thanks for sharing in this thread. If you want the most warrantied, most reliable horsepower on the market, give us a call. We're one hour West of Downtown and would love to show you exactly what we've been doing for 22 years, and how our industry leading packages are able to offer the same reliability, and service protection that you invest in when you buy a newer car like the 2010+ Camaro. We have the only on-site test track in North America for a tuner shop, and while we don't use our dyno to simulate quarter mile passes, we are able to take our cars out and test them in real world environments. This is just a small part of how we're able to offer our cars right off of many GM showrooms, and develop cars like the World Record holding Venom GT. If you'd like something you can put 100,000 miles on, race every weekend, and enjoy for years to come, without ever having to pop the hood (unless you want to show it off) give us a call. Here are some of our ZL1's by the way. They also have a warranty. We've built over 100 of these, and even more V's, and we'd love to build one for any of you. You can call our main line at 979.885.1300, or my direct line at 713.650.5341 if you have any more questions. We're really not on the forums that much, we're typically pretty incredibly busy here, and right now all of our online effort is being put towards the new Stingrays since we already have about 20 inbound. |

Hennessy upgrade
My car was done by Hennessy this past winter and I am very pleased with results. They are -very- knowledgeable and did a good job of explaining exactly what they were going to do. The package I got was the HPE 650, but I had them add the long-tube headers with high-flow cat conv, so guess package is something more than 650 but less than 700 (which includes new heads & cam).
As others have said, Hennessy is somewhat more expensive, so your dollar may go further exploring other options. Worked well for me tho, and am glad to have built the relationship. |

Thanks everyone for the input. After shopping around I've decided on my mod package (stage II/III for most packages) and shop and will certainly post some pics/videos after it's done. It's going to be a BEAST!!
