I walked right into a dealer I didn't even buy my car from, told them about the TSB, and they ordered the parts and fixed without even questioning it. Seems odd to see so many people are having problems.

me TOO!! the dealership ordered the parts, I brought Morpheus in @ 7:30am and we drove off "squeak-free" a few hours later by 9:30am... hopefully I have heard the last of that annoying noise/squeaking/whatever...

THANKS for this thread... This thread helped me get this problem fixed pretty quick.

I just had this fixed yesterday and so far so good. It was a fairly quick job (same day) but since they had to wait for the car to cool off I ended up taking a loaner so I could leave.

Update: It's been 2 weeks and still no noise. Switching from Rice Krispies back to Wheaties is soooo nice.

No problem. I've had many bad experiences with dealerships, so even though I'm the thread starter and my car has this issue, I haven't had it fixed yet. My interim fix is to just turn up the radio.

Parts ordered yesterday... I don't know how I missed this thread but I cannot WAIT until I get this fixed. This has been driving me insane for months!

I took it into the dealership yesterday to have them look at a door leak and this issue. They fixed the door leak, but they could not replicate the noise I was talking about.
I was pissed thinking that I would have to live with this noise...

I took the technician out the parking lot and I was able to make the noise to happen by slowly revving the engine to 2K RPM + . He pinched a hose and knew exactly what the issue was. He looked it up on their intranet site and there it was. An instant feeling of relief fell over my soul as I knew I would have closure on something that has been driving me CRAZY!

I guess they know what to do moving forward. Live and learn...

Just had this TSB done to my car. It's a V6 and the service tech showed me the exact same printout as on the first page here. So even though it says it only applies to the V8 it's also a V6 issue.

When I first brought it in I had a mechanic go for a rider with me. Within 150 feet of leaving the dealer lot he heard it and said to turn around. The trick was that the noise didn't start till around 4.5-5k RPM. So I just kept it in first and accelerated until the RPM's got high. Once at the high RPM's the noise continued forever. The valve was back ordered so I had to wait an extra week (not a big deal).

I have this noise too.
It is loud when I turn the air on at minimum intensity and kind of disappear when I turn it up.
It stops completely when the air is off, so it is due to the air (irrespective of whether I turn the AC on or off).
My car was built March 2010...but according to the dates of these posts shouldn't the problem have been solved by March 10?

Thank you
Marco
