XM Radio negotiation tactics???

What is the best deal you've recently negotiated with XM radio and how did you do it? I used to have a lifetime subscription but they stole it from me when I traded trucks. They won't reinstate it or move it to my new truck. I've got 4 vehicles that I'm considering. Wonder if hitting them with a volume discount will do the trick?

I can run Amazon Music or Pandora or whatever most of the time around home but one trip across Nebraska or South Dakota and you'll hate going in and out of cellular reception and losing signal all the time. Satellite reception is necessary in those areas.

It seems like every time I call them their prices and offers change. I was just able to renew subscriptions on two of my Mercedes in Feb at a rate of about $88 a year for each car. They will throw you an offer but just play hardball and say that's too high, they will keep lowing the price. I always let my subscription expire then they start mailing and calling me with crazy low offers. NEVER have your subscription set to auto-renew because you always get screwed in the following year because it just renews at the regular sky high rate. I have a trial membership in my Camaro that should have expired over 2 weeks ago but it's still working so I am getting it for free currently. They do ofer multiple vehicle discounts so if you have multiple Sirius/XM accounts make sure you take advantage of the multi discount. Good luck!!!

I got an offer for 2 years free thru my dealer, I tossed the offer out. I'm never outside of the city and no long commute. In the past I've used it & the amount of repeat programming turned me off.

Hence Apple radio and not one of the ones you mentions. It works offline. Never misses a beat when I am out of range. We don't even have FM radio where I live let alone a solid cell connection.

Did the free trial when I got my SS. Couldn't stand the crappy sound quality. Over compressed and sounded like it was coming out of a flanger. The real fun starts when you cancel with them. They won't stop calling you and will pester you forever. I got so fed up with their calls I lost it on the phone and cussed the salesperson out. Calls stopped after that.

That's the offer they're emailing me now. I was told that you cannot do the online without putting a credit card on record (for future automatic renewal).

I actually think the sound quality is really good when compared to FM radio stations in the area. I don't think any of my radios are FM HD though

I just signed up for the 6 month for $30 deal. Apple Music is the way to go if you have a iPhone 10 a month and you can download the music to your phone for offline use.

I refuse to pay the going rate. I tell them My Camaro is garaged most of the time and some other BS.
I can always renew at $36.00 for 6 months. No credit card so they bill me by mail. you do have to call
to cancel before the 6 months is up or it goes full retail.
Ive been doing this with XM for years now.

I get mine for about $90 a year, per vehicle out the door... I know it's a lot but I do like to choices they offer and when I want to find something to listen to, I always can find a station.
