GM Looking to Rename the Camaro?

Did anyone recently get the survey where Chevy was fishing for new Camaro names? Sorry if this posted sonewhere already. They threw out names like, 376, Street Sport, and the venerable SS, RS and even LT1. It was basically asking you how appealing these names were to you on a go-no go scale.

Just leave it alone. The only thing I care about is looks, power, interior room, and ride.

It won't happen. That would be the worst flop in Chevrolet history. I believe that they might develop another sports model alongside the Camaro (they've done this before), but to change a pillar of Chevrolet tradition as well as a living legend by calling it another name????? Sorry but that would be a pitiful mistake.

This is heresy! I want a partisaned, nationwide protest! Isn't that what we do now?

By the way, I voted to keep the current badging of SS, RS. "Street Sport?" Hell no!

For the older customers, and many younger ones appreciate the history and want to buy one. Some older things are a stigma to the millenials, and would rather it was named Starbucks, Panera Bread or Diversity.

Yes, talk about failure if anyone remembers mitsubishi was it? trying to market to that 18-24yo crowd with their advertising etc.
They did get them in the showrooms but they had poor or no credit. Their solution was to expand their own credit corp and give them all credit no matter what. It sold cars, but like the housing market with subprime loans, first to go was their banking side of the house.
Yeah couldn't see that coming.

Mustang II was an awful thing. Like the rest of the cars in the late 70s, 80s, 90s........What they need to do is go back to the retro front end of the Camaro that they messed up for the 6th gen.
