Camaro Key Replacement infp

Hi Guys,

So I needed to get a new set of keys since my keys brok and i dont have a key blade. I went to the dealership and they are giving me the recall key set up. I was wondering if the seperated key has a chip and so does the key fob? if so how would i be able to program the key if they would have 2 different chips, one on the sperated key and one on the fob? I have the DIY instructions to prgram keys but this is just a question i want to be answered since its a little consfising to me.

Thanks,
G
