2014 Camaro wont turn over

Complete a cam swap similar to Robert Way, but after connecting everything without a hitch, the car will not turn over??? I left the plug wires unhooked to turn over the engine - does that cause my issue?

So what you are saying is that after "connecting everything" you connected everything except the plug wires, and you want to know why your car won't roll over?

Well one thing people overlook when hooking everything back up, did you make sure you reconnected your ground wire on the battery?

Does the motor turn over with a wrench without binding?

No only that but the grounds on the block itself.

OP recheck all connections and make sure everything is connected.

about 90% of the time someone comes to me with an issue like his, it is usually a ground. A job that big you have to make sure you put it together exactly like you took it apart. I just mentioned the battery because it is in the trunk and out of sight. Something someone would overlook.

I Should have ask him if he has power to everything in the car except the engine.

Should still turn.

As mentioned, ground seems likely.

Thanks for the feedback! I made sure all connections were put back exactly the same. Initially I removed the ground wire in the trunk (was unhooked for about a week), completed the cam swap, reconnected the ground wire. I have power to everything (including the radio), but the instruments tell me low fuel when I know it's full, service stability control, no tire pressure readings, car symbol with a lock also shown in the IC???

Have you tested the voltage at the battery? When you're attempting to turn the engine over, are you getting anything from the starter? Did you test to see if the starter is getting power? Start with the simplest causes and work out from there. I know with my Corvettes, low battery voltage caused many issues that sometimes seemed unrelated.

Also, I didn't hear your response as to whether or not the engine turned over smoothly when you tried at the crank pulley.

Sounds like your theft deterrent system isn't letting the engine turn over....

It is usually always the battery either low or not fully connected. Then the starter. Then mechanical, then it starts being computer problem. Usually always in that order.
