I only found out about the car a few months ago, but have been saving towards a car for my 25th bday in february 2009 since the beginning of this year. initially i wanted to get the LT/RS but it looks like I might only get an LS. if at all that is, because i'm not sure if the LS will still be as impressive without the fog lights, 18" steel tires, basically no convenience interior etc. I will have to wait and see.

I vote none of the above.

Prices are exactly where I guessed - G8 GT = Camaro SS, loaded SS equals G8 GXP.

I'll be waiting until inventory has reached the level where decent deals can be had. Or order online and have it shipped for a reasonable deal sooner.

Yeah, if I were going to get an SS, I might as well get a 2SS because a purchase of that size needs to be something I'm completely satisfied with. But the prices are just too much right now. No sense in getting a V-6, that would be a downgrade for me. I'll wait a year or so until the hype has waned, and look for a car that was owned by someone who got more car then they could afford.

Very disappointed in the base SS price, with the options I'd want it'd come in around 34k + tax, ect I figure would bring it close to the 37k, waaaayyy over the line of what I was looking to pay (So much for affordable and competitive with mustang). Damn, I really wanted this too, but guess I'll probably get something else and trade it in later an get my Camaro a few years down the road.

The 6.1L V8 Hemi Challenger starts ar 42k.......... Chevy was smart! (Even though I wouldnt buy the Challenger).. I was buying the Camaro since I saw it on Transformers.. no matter the cost.. Wasnt sure how I was gonna do it, but I was pretty posisitive about it.
