Car show

So my boss took his 2018 ZL1/1LE to local car show and lost best modern muscle to a stock challenger, (not a hellcat or a demon). Even beat a new Mustang cobra out. My bias towards Camaro's coming out?

Unless the judging criteria was 'most special options boxes', there is no reason to think that it should have won automatically.

It was for best "MODERN " muscle car
Just find it hard to believe that this car was chosen over a ZL1/1LE.

Most people probably don’t know the ZL1/1LE. Dodge is good at decal special editions.

What I've found with most local car shows is that the contestants have been doing it for quite some time. They know a lot of the other contestants and most of the judges. It's hard for an outsider to come in and Win anything on their first try.

I'm not saying it's rigged but the judges tend to lean more to the people and Car Clubs they know and support their event.

Growing up my father restored a 1955 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday 2 door hardtop and later a 1968 Oldsmobile 98 2dr hardtop. Honestly, I don’t believe in car shows for anything newer than 25 years old. That’s how most of the shows were organized back then (1980’s & 90’s).

This is so true about car shows, if it’s participant voting then it’s buddies hooking up each other. If it’s judges voting it’s still buddies doing the same thing. Hell I went to a Camaro car show one time and seen 2 nice modified Camaro get beat out by a stock ZL1 that was dirty and never raised his hood and had his windows up. After standing back and watching I heard participants complaining all 3 of those cars belonged to the members of the club putting on the show.

Agreed. That ZL1 1LE doesn't look good. It performs well but next to no one at a car show will know what that car is. I like the Challanger that won. Looks good.
