This is a little off topic, but since you are talking air filters, have you thought about the RotoFab for a CAI, on the new ZL1?

Probably to hear the supercharger whine a bit more.
The S4 guys I used to hang out with had intakes (Roc-Euro was the one they used) and you could hear the supercharger so much more with those on vs. stock. As far as the problem a few people seem to be experiencing, it would make sense that resetting ECU adaptations might help. It's the first I've heard of a hard RPM cutoff vs. the normal timing/fuel/etc. adjustments, but it's plausible. One "trick" I used to use in my old car running E85 was to reset the DME after I made the octane switch, as it would adapt to the change much faster. Otherwise, I'd go through 1/4 tank before I saw a whole lot of benefit. |

Update from the dealer...
They can not duplicate the problem no codes and no problems found. I am going there after work to take them for a ride of their life!!!..lol I know how to get it to do it with no problems.. I hope my friend at the dealer brought clean shorts..HAHAHA.. Just kidding you don't really have to drive this car very hard to get it to do it. It's just like you were doing a quarter mile run take off in first gear floor it and it may do it in first gear and maybe not ,shift into second gear floor it and bam it will 90% of the time cut out at 5200 rpm or just flutters like missing on cylinders and I let off at that point. I don't drive like this at all but when you do you want to be able to run through the gears without cutting out.

Update
My Friend at Chevrolet who is working on the car has captured the cutting out and has sent all the data to GM,now we wait to see what they would like him to do.

Just heard back from Chevrolet they are ordering a updated air filter but we already know this is not the fix but we have to go through the motions for GM at this point.
We had tried a K&N and same results.. Picking up until filter comes in.
