Daily driven cams?
Wanting to purchase a cam here soon. Not set on anything as of yet. I looked at the very popular night fury and was told its not so streetable? Can anyone with one chime in? Wondering on how it is to drive everyday? Anyone recommend a cam with a nice chop and good hp gains? Thinking on asking TEXAS SPEED next being a fan of them. Thanks in advance i know this is a every week topic.

I have a tsp cam and no issue. A good tuner should be able to make it streetable though

i don't have the NFC, but i have never heard anything about it not being streetable. All I hear is its an all around good cam. Great gains, sound, and driveability.

Night fury here and daily driven. You gotta really try and lug it at low rpm to get any buck. If you don't mind getting 14/15 mpg city your good to go.

I've had the night fury for a few months,
I was very concerned with it being to aggressive, I only wish I went a touch more aggressive It's very drive able and everyone that hears it says how nasty it sounds |

Ive been toying with the idea of getting a cam myself , that is street friendly since my car is a DD. I was looking at some of the BTR Stg II Cam for LS3 225/238 .612"/.585" 113+3, the NF Cam 233/242 6xx/6xx 113+x (still dont know why LR just dont post the numbers) and the TSP camm 229/236 .624"/615" 112 LSA. I like HP but i love TQ more, something that would give me 440+ on TQ when installed and Dyno'd.

I have the NF in my car and in the wife's. We have had them over two years with no problems. It is easily a DD cam. She drives hers more than I do due to my work but when I'm home it's my daily. I get about 17 city and can get as much as 24 hwy but were talking three plus hrs highway with cruise control at 75-80.

I have driven a NF cam, and keeping in mind everybody's idea of streetable is different, I would say it is definitely streetable. I am not interested in the NF for my DD, because as you also said, I am more interested in low end power and TQ gains rather than peak HP. I recently submitted my cam sheet to Pat G for a custom spec cam, and told him I wanted as close to 450 RWTQ as possible, and wanted a chop like the 229/236 cam and/or the Vengeance VRSP 2 cam.

I have been looking at as many NF cam dyno sheets as I can see. Most of them show the TQ curve above 400 starting as low as 3300rpm and carries 400 up to about 6000rpm. Most of the time you will see 430-450rwtq peak from the NF cam. I wouldn't sell it short as a Torque cam. It also maintains stock torque ratings in the lower rpms.
