Pulled over twice in (2) weeks for tint!

I would fight the ticket. You might win or the judge may reduce it. If your state has trial by affidavit try that option. You basically right a couple sentences about your side of the story, the cop does the same, and the judge decides the case based on what you and the cop wrote. My experience has been that the cops are too lazy to send in their statement and the judge rules in your favor. The worst that could happen is you pay the same fine that would have been imposed had you pled guilty.

Just remember who pays the cops salaries. They're harassing innocent hard working taxpayers, like another poster said they should fight crime and battle the war on drugs but then again no money in that. Remember, guys the cops think it's about safety but in reality it's all about the money.

You are going down the street and you see a wooden plank with 20 nails sticking up
You know that if you try to drive over it , there is a good chance you will have to fix your tires
But you take your chances and literally you get nailed , you knew , you took the chances and lost

That's what a cop told me giving me a speeding ticket a while back with my old car...being nice and flexing muscle at the same time..guess cops aren't right all the time either. Worked in my benefit at the time lol.

I got 4% tint on my 12 1LT RS and I was recently pulled over for my tint. I live in Florida and the sun is just deadly, especially during the summer. With that in mind, I keep my windows up and the AC on with the temperature being 99 outside. I was on a parkway where FHP usually pull people over for the dumbest things like no headlights on in overcast (which isn't a law) or 4 over the speed limit. I pass a charger FHP who is on the opposite side of the parkway and when he sees my car he immediately gets on the road and drives away. Then, about 5 minutes later I see the exact same charger hauling butt over this hill flashing his reds and blues. I get out of the way, but he pulls behind me and pulls me over. I got a ticket for $114, needless to say that I am not going to remove the tint and I am most likely going to get the same percentage on my new 14. These officers just harass drivers for tickets.

if it was ny its because its traffic court. they can give you a ticket for driving a red car on sunday. theres no appeal. Theres no db level for exhaust here too. You could drive a new electric car off the lot with no exhaust and unless you come into court saying you bought a new DOT approved exhaust they will fine you.
