Door ABL RGB AMBIENT LIGHTING
I've see some posts about changing to a different color like red for instance. Does anyone or has anyone recently done a rgb swap for the doors? I'm hoping to get some guidance on what they used and how.

I changed mine, I had the stock lights but now have RGB on the doors and dash. I got mine from SJM autoprod. They have a great product

I use SJM as well, NightOwl is a great way to control them.

Looking at the mod it looks difficult to just swap the light out with a rgb controller... if I'd only be doing the doors it would basically be taking the doors off, removing the old led, installing the new rgb unit and then finding a power source to tap into?

Swapping the light out is not difficult. It is getting a way to control the RGB LED within the door.
I'm not sure if other controllers that you can find online will work with the dimming feature of the doors/ or knob. The LP module from NightOwl use the PWM signal of the car to control all of the dimming. One way or another you need a controller to switch the colors of the RGB. |
