guess GM just recalled all the Camaro's made
JD power may need to revise their numbers
GM has had a bad year hope they are looking up next year.
Recalls aren't impacting sales in the slightest. GM sold 294,000 cars last month. More than every other automaker.

GM could recall 20 million cars this year and Dodge will still be at the bottom of the dependability list as they have for a decade.

Medisin you bring up how bad Dodge quality is I think that GM has a huge issue right now Quality at GM and the fact that GM and GM personal knew that there was an issue, if I was in the market for a car right now it would be a major concern.

The "faulty" ignition recalls date back to cars that are no longer produced by GM and consumers know this. All the recent model recalls are simply gestures by GM to show they are taking safety seriously so the regulators will back off. The first Camaro recall was for the amount of glue on the sun visor warning label for pete's sake. It took me an hour and a half to get the ugly stickers off my sun visor and GM says they're not sticky enough!

The good news is you're not in the market for a new car and those that are voting with their wallets are still flocking to GM to the tune of 294,000 cars last month. Look at the bigger picture here and stop regurgitating headlines.

There is a post on Challengertalk about rumored times of 10:90s in the ¼ out of the car for the manual and quicker times out of the A8. I don’t believe it unless the car is closer to 700-hp and was equipped with DRs then maybe, probably just a prank but the rumor is out there. Then again I see what the full bolt-on automatic ZL1s are running and think maybe.

10.9s out of the manual is going to take significantly more power and much better traction that the 662 out of the GT500...

Sounds like a bit of a stretch to me.

That seems like a stretch even with drag radials. The Viper has 640HP and weighs 1,000lbs less and only runs 11.5 @ 128mph.

Wow! Given all the rumors and hyping this car up through the stratosphere, I sure hope this car delivers. But it seems that this 4400+ lb car can defy physics where as cars thousands of pounds lighter with 300+ rear section tires can't .

Havnen't you heard? It's filled with pixie dust and powered by unicorn farts. The latest rumor says it will weigh 3200lbs, seat 9 comfortably and return 55mpg highway all for less money than a Smart ForTwo. It's Nurburgring time will have to be measured in nanoseconds.

Just curious what are your 1/4 mile times with your 505 rwhp, 4200+lb CTSV?

I bought a Cadillac to drag race? My Cadillac isn't filled with pixie dust nor powered by unicorn farts. If you are looking for 1320' times for the V, I suggest you look here:

Looking at your list it seems like the basic bolt on cars : Headers, Pulley, CAI, Tune, HE, and DRs are running low 11s to upper 10s, or very similar numbers to the ZL1s.

My guess is these bolt-on cars most likely have about 540-570 rwhp? Would it be safe to assume the Hellcat will have similar hp stock? It will also have quicker shifting automatic with improved gearing? Yet it's impossible to run these times simply because the car may be 150-200lbs heavier? Again I am assuming the Hellcat tested with DRs.

First off, i have that joker blocked and have no intentions of unblocking him. He is a major GM leg-humper and can't stand the fact that any other vehicle may be quicker than his precious GM models, so per him, with no experience with the other cars i may add, the other cars are junk, which of course is BS like 99% of the things Medisin posts and hence why he is the only person here with a permanent position on my Camaro5 idiot poster block list.

The only explanation I can give is the Challenger has a lot more gear than the Viper which is geared as a road racer instead of a straight line drag car like the SRT392/hellcat. That and it must be putting out more than 640hp of course.

The Viper has a 3.55 rear vs the Challengers 3.92 and the Challengers gear ratios are lower.
2.97 vs 2.26 1st
2.10 vs 1.58 2nd
1.46 vs 1.19 3rd.

The Hellcats has a 3.70 rear.

Here is the auto gear ratio (final 2.62)...
Auto:
1st....4.71
2nd....3.14
3rd....2.10
4th....1.67

I'm still skeptical of this recent rumor.
