While the picture does prove that he knew he was buying the emblem, no where on that page does it say "WARNING: Bowtie may damage and/or warp lines of grille." i feel that even that should have been posted no matter what and I am surprised it is not. I am going to be honest that I am rocking a heritage grille painted locally without a bowtie and painted locally, and now I am glad I chose that route. Whew :( hope the OP fogures this all out. Not picking sides intentionally but thinking this logically.

All - I too am a customer of gmpartshouse and have had nothing but a great experience. They are my go to for anything GM and sometimes for other items. Both Patrick and Gene have been very communicative and responsive. I am confident that if there are issues, they will find a way to make it right.

I am a very critical person about anywhere i give my business, and about the quality of products and especially customer service. We all know these days it can be tough to find both. I have purchased over 10-15 items from them over the course of the end of ladt year and even as early as this year. So far they get two thumbs up.

I also want to add in a comment for the OP. Yes, we have all been there and we understand your frustration for the issue you are having. No one wants to have a or create a busted part or something we cant use. Especially after the wait to get it and its super exciting to do mods, especially cosmetic mods to the camaros. However, i feel that it is low road to hastily complain on a public forum about an issue, especially if youre not 100% grounded in your position. Quite frankly it hurts your reputation, but also it can damage the reputation to a company that supplies hundreds of parts many to folks like us on this site. Yes, it good for us to protect each other from vendors that dont apply best practices or have poor service, but we also need to be fair.

Just my .02

I hope everything works out for you.

Luke

Perhaps the title can be modified to be positive and helpful. Something along the lines, "BEWARE if you plan to remove emblem on factory painted heritage grill." Because it sounds like this issue to happen to people who buy these from any GM parts location.

The casual observer, who mostly don't read well, or read beyond 2 sentences, won't potentially realize this isn't a vendor specific issue.

Out of curiosity, is this the one that is considered "unpainted"?

Why does every single detail need to be spelled out? That's ridiculous and if a seller has to jump thru hoops to sell stuff then the cost will go up.

If you buy something and modify it from how you received it...then it's on you.

If received it messed up then you have a complaint.

I'll agree with the OP if it's the unpainted without the bowtie. If it's the painted then it's on the OP and lesson learned.

I disagree. If you buy a Camaro and take the spoiler off can you go to the dealer and complain about the holes it leaves?

Extreme example but same principle.

Wow, was it necessary to make 3 threads about the same exact complaint?? I'm not a complainer, myself, so I guess I just don't understand some people.

I've learnt that if someone puts "the following are absolute facts" or something to that effect, it won't be...

Looks like another case of a "complaint" that's unfounded. Also, posting the thread three times is borderline crazy. You don't even have a valid complaint and you're trashing a reputable vendor with a spamming of threads? Come on, man.
