At first glance, I'm thinking Pontiac. But, now I'm thinking they are trying their damndest to keep the front end of the Z28 from being seen. If you look closely, you can see the lights...same exact location as the Camaros. They didn't change any of that. I think they did a helluva job on the camo, though. THAT is for sure.

But that is now my problem...

For everything I knew...I knew LSA. Now? I'm not so sure. With the previous rumors I've heard...and *new* giddy rumors I'm hearing, 550 to even 580hp tweaked being brought to the table might not be enough. I mean...I could be talking out my rear...but, if you want in this game, GM HAS to come to the table with at LEAST 600hp. Heck, everyone is tuning for 550hp right now. I am now at a loss.....I know GM ordered the LSA's to test in the cars last year...and I know they all got sent back when the project was shelved. But now? .....like I said, with some "giddy" responses, I'm just not so sure anymore. Is there a possibility of a new engine? GM sucks at keeping secrets. But, what if they kept this one...

600 would be waaaaaaay too close to vette territory, gm wouldn't get that big, plus having that much horsepower would mean more money than the average joe can pay for

If, and a HUGE if, GM does come out with 580-600HP in the Camaro, it would be expensive. Might be around 60k.

I don't think that expensive, but still more than the average american could pay, there certainly would be a market for the z if it was that expensive, but it would be so small that there would virtually be no profit, plus, once again, that's encroaching in vette territory at those prices

I agree. However, a fully loaded 2SS also encroaches on the Vette prices as well.

If they put that much HP in the car it wouldnt make sense to price it around $45-50k because then they would sell TOO many of them. Its a fine line that GM has to walk and lets just hope they get it right.

Now that I think about it, it will probably slot around the GS and Z06.

Probably nothing, but I felt it was worth point out...

some of the pics throw you off. the rear left wheel looks photoshopped, it looks thinner. 2Nd pic has a wierd body profile.
Im pretty sure it is the Z if anything, just camo'd like crazy. But if i was GM, testing a Z like this would be even harder with all the camo then just sticking the componants in a stock looking Camaro. That way it doesnt draw soo much of a crowd. It would go alot further unnoticed to say.

Thats just gotta be the Z... I think they will probably market it like the GTO, meaning it will have very few options. The 06 GTO had a wheel, color, and trans option as far as i can remember and that was it, I think it will be priced at around $42k-$45 IF that. A fully loaded SS runs close to $38k-$39k if you get every single little option and accessory on it, so since GM is working on profitability I wouldn't expect it to be too much higher then a SS. Just a opinion BTW.

EDIT*
That lower grille has been widened to the fog lights and is slightly taller then a SS lower grille... Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking?... Intercooler.
