Your computer is solid. The Core i7 extreme is a waste of money. PCs are cheap right now even for big power. If you want to tag on big $$$ and get the tip top components, thats fine, but they are not the top long enough to justify that kind of money.
As for the storage bottleneck someone mentioned, a pair of Raptors (10k drives) in RAID 0, or SSD setup will help that. I alwyas have 10k drives in my desktop and it works well. |

Solid state drives are the best, and I can tell you the I7 is not a waste of time when the machine has solid state drives with tons of RAM.
