Had it a week. Got caught in a flash rainstorm. Gave me an excuse to use Swift Wipe waterless wash by Chemical Guys (Walmart: 10 bucks).

Be careful with that stuff. They should call it swirl mark/scratch inducing wash.

I gained at least 100 hp by adding the CamaroSwag red grill accent decals.

Waiting for my GM black bowties!

Thanks for the valuable tip. I will. Have you had bad results with this stuff? I tried to research it as much as possible and watched a few review vids on YouTube.

I plan on trying Glen e. ‘s one-bucket method but I have to order an up-to-snuff wash solution first.

I would never use wipes or rinseless unless for some reason I had no access to a hose but even then I would take it to a coin op place late at night and bucket wash it. Two bucket method is the way to go. The paint on these cars is soft and gets swirls and scratches super easy.

My non car enthusiast buddy tried those wipes and they swirled the heck out of his truck. Not learning a lesson he tried similar wipes from Armorall and they were worse. I told him to stop cutting corners and just wash the dang thing properly.

Cheers and welcome! Love the garnet red.

Thanx for the info! last thing I want are self inflicted issues with my paint. Cheers!

Sweet 1LE by the way!

For a regular wash, Foam Cannon > 2 bucket wash method > waterless > wipes (shudder).

Foam cannons will be OK for a while, but once you get a build up of oils and grease you'll need to do a 2 bucket.

The Museum rule: The less you touch a thing, the longer it lasts.

Seems the tape failed on the IKON blade spoiler on my car. Heard a little odd noise on the way home from work and after backing into the garage, the spoiler was completely free on both ends. I ripped it off the trunk and cleaned off the tape and grime and will have to do something new with it today.

So, what did you do to your 6th Gen today?

Washed it, took it to the Showdown in Motown Car Show, sponsored by the Detroit Police Deartment (that will be relevant in a minute) and got her home and tucked in in the garage just before the rain started.

Showdown in Motown is a Bikes & Cars show intended as an outreach program to get police and residents to engage without the need for handcuffs and tasers (unless you’re into that sorta thing)

Pretty decent show. I won’t bore with pictures of what we all see at all the shows we go to, but I did want to pint out a few that caught my attention.

First is the grey 5th Gen. This car lives about 3-4 blocks away from me and I see it around almost everyday. Had no clue that the owner is a police officer.

Then there’s this Mustang GT that is a sort of stealthy police car. Then there’s the Challenger Sheriff’s Car. Not stealthy at all, but check out the fine print.

Removed all the bug splatter from the front and then sprayed on/buffed off another coat of the Reload spray.

Cleaned off the brake dust off of the wheels and Reloaded them too.
