Shift to reverse problems
Wats up fellow camaro riders. I have a 2010 2lt. Lately I've been having a problem wen I want to shift into reverse the stick is very stiff sometimes even have to use both hands just to get thegear to shift. Does anyone know why this is or how I can fix the problem. I have a manual transmission.

Definitely have your dealer look at that. They will probably tell you it's transmission fluid or something but they should find the problem.

I will recommend the same. Mine's relatively easy to get into reverse even from a cold start after a night of just sitting there in 30 degree weather.

Push the clutch in next time.
Actually, I don't know what's actually wrong, but in just about any manual trans car, sometimes the reverse gear won't engage fully unless you move the car a bit, i.e. let it roll back just a teeny bit, or move forward just a teeny bit, and then it will slide right in. But if it won't go in, don't jam it in, try the roll trick and see if it pops in any easier. |

Does it grind or just bind? The synchro's in these transmission are poorly made and the shifter tends to bind. The dealer should be able to sort it out though. How many miles do you have on it?
My reverse works ok although sometimes it binds more than others. To me it feels like it is in the shifter though and not the synchro's. My biggest bind is in the first to second and second to third shift. Can't be sloppy at all and must not rush it.
