Beige seat stain

I have an issue and am not sure how to fix.

My beige perforated leather seat back had a blue jean stain. I used Adams leather cleaner to attempt to remove. Had some luck but I think the stain was in the perforations.

I then used a combination of the following:
Rubbing alcohol
Goo gone
A magic eraser
Woolite foaming upholstery cleaner - this is where I think I f'up.

The blue is now gone but when you apply the Adams cleaner to the area it immediately looks "wet" like when you take a leather glove and get on spot wet; it gets darker. I think this is the residue from the Woolite.

Question is, before I order and try a bunch of different stuff and possibly screw it up more......any tips or suggestions?

Well it seems I may have gotten myself an expensive education.

From further research it appears the leather seats have a clear coat top coat on them. If this is the case what I did was rub the top coat off with the magic eraser. DOH!!!

So that being said, anyone have a recommendation of how to fix it? Worse case is I get a new seat cover but I would like to be a little cheaper than that.

You could look into a fabric pen of some sort or look into something like this.

I have no experience with it though and don't know the extent of the damage.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I ended up contacting Maureen at Rodgers for the seat cover. Hopefully I will have it in a few days!!!

Very expensive lesson. Don't use magic erasers on leather seats.

Leather is fairly delicate (in certain areas). I've had a few Corvettes and the leather GM uses for them is pretty fragile. If you wear jeans or a dark belt all the time it's hard to keep the dye transfer from happening. I use lexol cleaner and conditioner on my seats (and have for years). If you have light colored seats you could probably clean the high wear areas every month and then add conditioner. I know alot of people on here and other forums think the cleaners and conditioners don't work well on auto leather but it's worked very well for me. I had an H3 Hummer with tan interior and at 75,000 miles the driver seat pretty much looked new when I traded it in. I never use anything more abrasive than a soft brush on my seats. YMMV
