Update:

Two resonators being shipped at this very moment for $92 So i just need hangers and the pipes ( and someone to bend them in place) Wonder how much thats gonna cost?

Considered all the other options and this logically seems the best way to go.

Did you end up ordering the resonators at the link above? I think I am going to duplicate this setup also. I get my car on Saturday

Just got home from the shop.... basically put the finishing touches on things, double checking fitment, making sure everything is just right! Now they just have to wait for their order of resonators to come in... as soon as that happens they will be able to start building the kits! I told them to let me know as soon as there is an update to let me know!!!

Also while I was there we did the Bowtie Black Out!!! WOW! What a difference... need to wash the car and get some new pictures!!!

My ex's brother lives in Council Bluffs... so yeah, i know it's a haul! LOL!

The shop is in Plymouth which is a north western suburb of Detroit. It is close to the major expressways...

after buying all the parts and paying for labor you will only save about $100 over a better engineered axleback kit that looks professional.

Yep another $100 to do more cool things with

And besides, if i got it done locally, it may be less then $200 with parts and labor. ( And trust that the shop wont hurt your car) It will be as great as systems hundreds of dollars more

Ok... up until now I've been kind of keeping the shop that is doing this very low key... but these last few posts have kind of pushed me to brag a little bit about the shop and it's owner....

The name of the shop putting this kit together is MRT and the owner is Scott Hoag... Those names might ring a bell with some of the Mustang enthusiast we have out there! You see MRT short for Mustang Racing Technologies.

Scott Hoag has a very impressive automotive resume. Scott was 17-year veteran of Ford engineering. While at Ford Scott was the program manager for the 2001 Mustang Bullitt and the 2003 Mach 1! So yeah, he knows how to engineer cars and performance parts!

In late 2002 Scott decided to go out on his own and formed MRT. Since that time he has engineered and produced a number of very successful performance and appearance parts for not only the Mustang but a number of other Ford vehicles.

He has also designed and put together numerous award winning SEMA vehicles! I mean how cool is a TURBO EDGE!

(took these pics with my 5D and 24-105L)

MRT cars have graced the cover of many magazines and Scott and MRT have been the subject many an article. For a long time Scott had a monthly column in Modified Mustang. But when Modified Mustang was bought and merged there were staff cuts...

Scott basically eat, sleeps and breathes CARS! And when he's not at the shop working you can find Scott out on the track with his personal Mach 1 Racer!

With the reintroduction of the Camaro and the Challenger, Scott is looking to take his year of automotive experience and expand MRT! I'm really excited by this! Some of you have seen pics of my 12 second 2005 V6 Mustang... Scott is the guy who focused my totally random ideas and directions and turned my haphazard collection of mods into an award winning show car!!! So that fact that Scott expanding into the Camaro realm is excellent news in my book!

So when Scott puts together some thing like this axle back kit you know it will be very well engineered!

Now that being said... yes, you can save money by putting this together yourself... but if you are going to compare apples to apples you need to make sure that your local shop is using 304 stainless steel pipe and hangers!

Sorry for the long winded posted...
