CAM INFO NEEEDED.

Hello out there all you cammed guys and gals, finally doing it and doing a cam swap on my 2011 SS L99. I was going to do the TSP 231/236 cam package with a 112 LSA and a 3200 stall converter but when I called TSP they said that is their "old" cam and the new one is 231/246 which he said is the same cam, just makes more power. Who doesn't want more power. So my question for you cammed folks is, who has this new TSP 231/246 or the old 231/236 which I see you can still get in their Camaro with a 3200 stall. What do you like about it and what do you not like about it. Pleas share any info you have on this setup. Thanks so much folks.

I have the tsp vvt3 231/243 113lsa and circle d 3200 highstall. I already had 3.91 gears install before the cam and converter. The gears will help in keeping the rpm on the car a little higher on cruise which it tones down the surging or loping(correct me if I am wrong). It drives great, and for the sound a resonated x pipe will help alot.

Thanks JLGO, anyone else have any info on this setup for the TSP Stage 3 cam package with a 3200 stall?? Would love to hear from you guys. Thanks Bo, but I only need a 3200...I think 4000 would be to much for my daily...

I have the TSP 231/246 cam installed. However, being advertised as an LS3 cam..I'll bet you aren't going to find a ton of guys that have put it in an automatic. Most of them have probably went with the stage 3 VVT cam instead. I believe its specs are pretty similar.

That said, if mine was an auto and I had this cam, I would probably shoot for a 3600 stall in it. Just based off when the power hits. I'm sure it would be just fine with a 3200 as well.

You will not regret going big on a stall in a late model trans. 3600 minimum. You’ll barley feel a 3200 after a month

I have the 235/239 in a manual, really pulls from 4K up. if it was me I would go with a 4000 RPM stall, 3600 minimum.

I have the vvt 3.2 with 3200 stall, 3.91 gear and LT headers. I really like the way it runs and drives.

What rpm did you set your idle at?

Do you have HP Tuners? If so, care to share your tune file with me?

I'm having just a little cold and hot start issues. I'd like to compare tunes.

Mine cranks a bit long...
