Need help deciding on which Camaro to get.

I'm deciding on if I should get the V6 Camaro rs, or the V8 Camaro ss. I don't want to spend the extra money on the ss if it isn't much of a difference from the rs. So could someone please tell me all of the differences between two?

If you are getting a V6 RS...the difference is two cylinders...and a buttload of more power. I traded up and 24/7.

If you can, get a 2SS/RS....

If you're on the fence, then get the SS.

If you're super concerned about fuel economy, then the V6 is a great car with lots of go. But, there is a significant difference between the V6 and the V8 when it comes to power.

You really should test drive both before deciding.

I agree with the 2 extra cylinders, get the SS! You can compromise fuel economy by getting the A6 with AFM if you can deal with the drone when it kicks in. But to be honest, you can't go wrong with any combo, just personal preference.

What can you afford? Answer that first. If you won't be in over your head there's nothing like the SS. But it's your money, your bill. Don't go under water because "V8" sounds cool. They ain't cheap to run.

Either way, it's a CAMARO.

This.

I got the V6 because it's my daily driver and I don't want to have trouble paying for it.

You should drive both, but consider how the car will be used, how much gas mileage and all that means to you- and whether you can realistically afford the monthly payments (if financing). I will say this: the V6 still has plenty of power (323hp is certainly nothing to sneeze at!!), only requires regular gas, and still has the same incredibly good looks. Good luck!!

I have thought about that so many times. That keeps me leaning towards the V6 but ik that i'm going to probably feel bad if a V8 ss pulls up next to me lol.

Went with a 1SS even though I could have gotten a 2LT. I had to have a V8

I can understand that. If you feel like you might have buyer's remorse when you buy a V6, then I would say to try for the V8 outright. This way, you don't buy the V6 and then 4 or 5 months later go and trade for a V8....so many people do that (look at all the threads on here), which is fine, but they end up owing so much more than the car is worth. With the SS, the gas mileage isn't terrible for 400HP, and if price is an issue you cab always go for a 1SS... same power but less features. The 2SS is top of the line and has leather, HUD, power everything, etc. Lots of people on here have an SS as a daily driver so that's definitely possible.

If price is not a problem then drive both and buy the one you liked better.
