similar event happened to me at my appartment complex. i was away on buisiness for a month and when i got home the front end had been hit right at the fender and front fascia joint near the headlight....i had to get a whole new front end, fender, front gfx part and a new headlight due to the mounting bracket being snapped off. The bill came out to a little over $2500 and no insurance info had been left. Luckily USAA covered it under uninsured motorists and i had to pay the 250 deductible.
insult to injury.....the body shop at the dealership put the front gfx on with sheet metal screws (improper installation) and no 3M sticky shit at the top......it came off on the highway going to el paso at 90 mph and did damage to the wheel well casing and the air deflector, not to mention the gfx part, and im still awaiting the work to be done to replace the dealerships screw up but they are giving me the run around. Im about to call the head honcho over there and get shit done in anger! but at least u got a card man.....i know how bad it feels to come out to your car and be surprised like that. i had to drive mine around for a week before it went in the shop and i had to ziptie the front end into the rivet holes for the gfx kit because it was hanging down too low to the asphalt. i felt like a freakin bum that found a camaro |

Man i feel for you guys. Hopefully everything will turn out good with repairs. My baby has been in the shop for two weeks now. Still waiting on new backend to arrive. On the plus side the shop finished painting the racing stripes on and I got to look at it yesterday. She looks great minus the missing backend. If I'm lucky the parts will arrive today and have her back on Friday!!!

I found the post by Motorhead to be offensive and insensitive where he questions someone who goes to the gym and parks in a handicapped spot. I too am authorized to park in handicapped spots and I also go to the gym. To the casual observer I do not appear handicapped, but I can assure you that you do not want the affliction I have. You have absolutely no business questioning someone's handicapped status.

To Pumpkin1LT so sorry to here about what happened to your baby girl. I was fortunate enough to have the guy leave contact info and that his insurance is covering my repairs. It still sucks that it was his just lack of skill in what should be a very basic driving skill (parking and pulling out of a darn parking space). It has been three weeks and finally it looks as I'm gonna get my baby back today!!!
TO: transformer1 i too was offended by motorhead's orginal post but to each their own and everyone has the right to there opinion I guess. I hope you continue to fight your affliction and maintain a healthy lifestyle of going to the gym. The gym is one of the few things I still enjoy and helps me to be able to continue to stand upright. |

Finally got my baby back. All damage fixed and stripes added (since it was already in the shop why not?).
