From the San Antonio Christina update

Ok just got home after being able to see Christina. I must say I got to see the most beautiful sight in my life. She was semi-alert, all n all doing great. Please keep her in your prayers, the next 24-48 hours are going to be huge. So they did install a mechanical valve, Doctor said in his 38 yrs he has never seen a valve like hers. Had some dmg/scares etc... that they believe came from lupus. All the test have come back negative on the lupus, this time and back in 2007 with her other illness. So everything for being what is was looks good and we are looking for a speedy recovery. I will update tomorrow night once back home from the hostipal.

So be sure to live each day like to could be your last. I mean who would have thought open heart surgery on who we thought was a 90% healthy 33yr old.

Morning update. First visit today at 10am. Walked into the room and christina waved at me. Once I got to her she said I was late. 1 min come on this is all new to us. Needless to say she was looked Great, in good spirits talking etc.... She woke up around 530 this morning and other than the mac truck feeling she ready for the world... Sam

Today was a very good day. Saw her at 10am this morning and she was sitting up in her bed and waved at me when I came in the door.
Got to see her ever 2 hours for about 15min. Each time she looked much better gaining color along the way.
Around 4:45pm they got her out of the bed and made her sit in a chair for about 90mins. She is also now on to clear liquids, so maybe tomorrow she will be getting full liquids.
So now it comes down to rest these next few days, then very hard work getting back to the grind of living.
