I saw this on the side of a V-6 Camaro at a local car show last saturday along with some SS badges on the rear. I had to laugh out loud.

I've never actually seen this in my area.

I'm not going to get upset over it, though if I was in a certain mood I might razz the owner.

The only way I MIGHT see where it would be legit is if you had modded your V6 to SS HP/TQ levels. Even then, I personally wouldn't do it.

The irony is, most people who know enough about cars to care about the SS badge will know you're faking, so what's the point?

Holy smokes, Redzone!!! I didn't know you had a Camaro! (Or do you?) There are some other Vette guys here, too. Good to "see" you!

If I saw the owner of that car you mentioned, I'd act all innocent like I knew NOTHING about Camaros and get him to tell me about his car.

How do people feel about the V-Flags in relation to this? Obviously vintage chevys of all stripes had V-flags. Nowadays only Vetts have them. OK on a Camaro? Only the SS or V6 too?

If I see an SS badge I assume it's an SS. I never check the mail slot or brakes, don't really care if it's a true ss or not. Whether the car is a V6, or V8 makes no difference to me, it's still just a camaro. It's not like these things are ferrari's or something. I like the car, it's fun but not something to get me worked up if somebody puts an SS badge on a V6.

Heck, we used to do that stuff when I was a kid, back in the '60's.

What ever is the only thing I can say about something like this. Not worth getting undies in a bunch about.

Not sure what the big deal is. If people want to wear fake watches etc..its on them. When they get found out they are the ones that are going to be embarassed lol. If people want to look like tools...more power to them.
