best tire for 315/35R20 & 275/40R20 Setup

Guys I'm going with a set of 315 tires in the back and 275 for the front, and would like AAA tires for my car. For the guys that already have this setup, what tires are you using? Witch are the best ones? Where can I get them?

Thanks!!!

Those look great, but with the power I'm putting down, I feel safer with a AAA tire.

There is no tire on the market I recommend more strongly than the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports! The testing on these has come back with hugely impressive results. They are like the softest, "grippy-est" street tires you can find, but also have really good wear properties due to the variable contact patch technology and the dual compound. We've got a set on the way for our beast right now. They have the rear size you are looking for, but on the fronts you will need to be on a 275/35ZR20. Trouble is they are very new and hard to find right now.

thanks for the information. The Michelin Pilot Super Sport is one of my favorites. I you sure about the tires size? I checked the tires in a tire size calculator and the 275/35R20 is too small. Check it out.

They don't make a 40 series in that width yet, so we are going to run the 35's. I will be testing for any ABS or traction control issues, but we're told not to expect any trouble. Now we just need to get our grubby little hands on that set!!

I have the Nitto NT-05's with similar power as you and they work great for aggressive road racing. Won't really help on the drag strip. Although my car has only seen rain about 3 or 4 times in a little over 2 years, I have seen replies about the tires working well in the rain during road coarse racing.

We still have to watch it at this power level.

The problem with the 315 Pirelli is that it is a Runflat tire. It will be heavy, ride bad, and will not handle to well. The reviews have pretty much been negative. You other option would be the 305 in that size.

I still find it hard to beat the OEM Pirelli P Zero for street and track use. They stick like super glue when warm, wear reasonably well and are at a decent price point. Yes, they are like square rocks below 50 degrees and I hear they suck in the snow ( snow, not my problem ).
I found it interesting that the MTI test 2010 Camaro ran P Zero 275/40/20's on all 4 corners last year at the Little Talladega road course and posted a 1 minute 5 second run.
The P Zero 305/35/20 comes in 2 flavors and is only 3/10" shorter than the P Zero 275/40/20 so it works fine and won't cause a error with the ABS/Stabilitrac system. You will find the P Zero 305/35/20 is wider than most other makers 315/35/20 tires. Don't believe me ??, measure them on an 11" rim. The P Zero 305/35/20 is even wider than the Pirelli P Zero Rosso 315/35/20.
