Love it. Ask a few zl1's and a Z28
. My car hangs right with them.

Yeah, I remember you from the Baytown Fest. I hope I don't miss out on this track.

I hope it is within my budget to afford to do it! Soooooooooooo much fun, I'd hate to miss out on it. Could newbies maybe have someone to ride along with us & coach us a bit?

What about spectators? I am not into the racing but would like to check out the track and watch some of the fellow camaro5 members tear it up. I might even be willing to pay a small entry fee to help offset the cost of renting the track.

The only issue?

You obviously can't have hundreds of people signing up for this. Anyone who's been racing before knows you don't really want to exceed 20 min of full bore racing in these cars and you don't want 40 cars on the track at once. Too many people will cause problems and you can also only push these cars so far before needing to let them cool down.

It's probably going to be somewhere around 60 open spots, Contract info is being sent over today and I'll have to look it all over. We simply can NOT go to Bowling Green and NOT get on this track. That would be NUTS!!!11!!@>!#RLKOEW)!!!
I will give you my first born (whenever that happens?) as deposit to ensure I have a spot reserved. Honestly sub $300 for an entire day would be a great price. Our club rents out a small track for the entire day for $200 per person but it is a SMALL (1.1 miles) and we have connections. If this does indeed happen, I will have to leave Houston a day earlier, BUT I am OK with this!

You say that... but his car is more than capable especially on a course that favors braking and tight turns. ~400 rwhp, ~3,700 lbs, and full suspension should not be taken lightly. However, like I say HPD events are 80% driver and 20% car and Clint is more than capable.

Indeed.. Your car can definitely go deeper into the braking zones and navigates the twisties just as good as mine. Thankfully I've got a little extra power helping me on the straights

I want to sign up. And if I sign up, can I share my time with my girlfriend?

Please count me in on this event.
It would be cool if we could somehow keep track of lap times too.

My guess is we would charge by the car... but, if we follow a traditional HPDE format, the begginers would need to ride with an instructor... I don't see why you couldn't share an instructor, but they don't normally allow passengers....

short answer is... I'm not sure. more to follow.
